The Bengaluru franchise has roped in current Mumbai head coach Omkar Salvi as the RCB’s fast bowling coach for the upcoming IPL 2025 season.
Omkar Salvi, a highly-rated coach in the domestic circuit has previously worked as an assistant coach of the IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.
After his contract ended with KKR, he was named as the Mumbai state team coach. Salvi is currently serving Mumbai’s senior men’s team in domestic cricket.
His current contract as the Mumbai head coach will end in March 2025. Although there is no official announcement is revealed, it is expected very soon.
Omkar is the brother of former India fast bowler Avishkar Salvi under his guidance, the Mumbai team won the Ranji Trophy last season.
Omkar’s only List-A appearance came in 2005 when he played for Railways against Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier this year Dinesh Karthik was named as the RCB’s battting coach and mentor for the IPL 2025 sesason.
Karthik and Omkar Salvi have worked together for KKR and the RCB will be looking to bring them together to power their maiden IPL title.
The Bengaluru based franchise has retained Virat Kohli, Rajat patidar and yash Dhayal ahead of the auction.
The IPL governing council has decided to organize IPL 2025 mega auction between November 24 and 25 in Jeddah.
Despite the event being hosted overseas, IPL fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
