MS Dhoni Met Indian Team Ahead of 1st T20I: Right BCCI released the New Zealand tour of India 2023 schedule, everyone expects to see MS Dhoni in any way with team India. To their surprise, MS Dhoni visits team India and had a pep talk with the team members.

Indian T20I cricket team under Hardik Pandya reached Ranchi to play the first T20I match of the series. India will play their T20I series without their prime stars – Rohit and Virat.

The omission of Rohit and Virat made a hustle among the cricket community but Indian head coach Rahul Dravid clears the air by explaining the reason for the bold move.

While these apart, the former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni met the Indian cricketers and left everyone in surprise. Ishan Kishan who termed MS Dhoni as his “idol” was seen in joy while meeting him.

Hardik Reveals the Topic of Discussion

Later, Hardik, speaking at a press conference, revealed that when he meets with the great captain, he does not talk about the game.

“Mahi bhai is here which is good as we get to meet him. We can get out of the hotel also (to meet him). Otherwise, the way we have played in the last one month, it has just been hotel to hotel,” he said at a press conference.

“And when we meet we try to talk about life and keep cricket away. When we played together I learnt a lot from him. I have squeezed a lot out of him (knowledge)… there is not much left,” said Hardik.

Ahead of the series, Hardik confirms that Shubman Gill and Ishan Kishan will open the inning in the absence of Rohit Sharma. Shubman Gill with his impressive performance in the NZ ODI series equals Babar Azam’s record for scoring the most runs in a 3-match bilateral ODI series.

Gill was adjudged the ‘Player of the Series'(India vs New Zealand ODI series) for his sensational exploits with the bat, which included a maiden double hundred in the first match.

India will play their first T20I match of the series on January 27 at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi.
