Mayank Agarwal will lead India A in the second round of the Duleep Trophy as captain Shubman Gill, start batter KL Rahul and W-Keeper Dhruv Jurel will be on National duty as they are named in India’s squad for the 1st Bangladesh Test.
The changes to the Duleep Trophy squad were brought in after several players had been released from the squad for the Bangladesh series.
The first round of the Duleep Trophy matches were played in Bengaluru and Anantapur last week. Pratham Singh has been named as the replacement for Gill while Akshay Wadkar will replace KL Rahul and Sk Rasheed will replace Jurel in the India A Squad.
left-arm spinner Shams Mulani will be replacing Kuldeep Yadav while Aaqib Khan will replace Akash Deep in the squad.
Suyash Prabhudessai and Rinku Singh will replace Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant in the India B squad.
Fast bowler Yash Dayal, who got his maiden call will not be in action in the Duleep Trophy second round along with Sarfaraz Khan. Himanshu Mantri has been included in the India B squad.
In India D squad, Nishant Sindhu will replace all-rounder Axar Patel while Tushar Deshpande has been ruled out of the second round of the tournament due to niggle and will be replaced by Vidwath Kaverappa in the India D squad. Only India C team is the only team unchanged for the second round.
