The 32-year-old batter Mayank Agarwal was rushed to hospital after a medical emergency he suffered during a flight.
Mayank Agarwal set to be discharged from Hospital
The Indian cricket Mayank Agarwal is set to be discharged from hospital. He was hospitalized due to a medical emergency in the middle of the flight while traveling from Agartala to Surat.
As per medical reports, he consumed contaminated water and was admitted to a hospital in Tripura. When the flight returned to Tripura, Agarwal was deboarded and admitted to ILS hospital in Agartala.
He is currently the captain of the state’s team in the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 season. When asked about symptoms, he complained of a burning sensation in his mouth, throat, and Stomach.
He drank water contained in the bottle which is suspected of having contaminated or poisoned substance. Alongside the player, the team manager Ramesh was deboarded from the plane. He posted a few pictures in his Instagram account lying in bed.

The Karnataka team was traveling to Surat to play against the Railways in their schedule.
He has scored 460 runs in four matches with an average of 44.28. He smashed two centuries during the ongoing tournament. Agarwal was the leading run-getter of the Ranji Trophy 2022-23.
They are currently positioned second in Group C of the tournament with two wins and one defeat. Agarwal has played 21 Test matches for India since his Test debut in 2018.
He made his last appearance for the national side during the match against Sri Lanka in March 2022. He scored 1488 runs in 21 matches with an average of 41.3 which included four centuries.
He has played five ODIs for the national team. He was retained by the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for the upcoming IPL 2024.
Karnataka and Railways are set to be scheduled to play in the next Ranji Trophy match starting on February 02 at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium.
