Legends League Cricket 2022 Updates: Former Indian cricketer and one of the most loved captains Sourav Ganguly set to return to cricket as a player in the upcoming Legends League Cricket.
Ganguly Set to To Make On-Field Return in Legends League Cricket
The second edition of the Legends League Cricket which is scheduled to play in September 2022 in Oman has reportedly shifted to India.
Ganguly confirms that he will be playing a special cricket match in Legends League Cricket. Recently LLC had announced that the upcoming season would be hosted in India instead of Oman.
The former India skipper posted pictures of himself sweating it out in the gym and he captioned the post as: ““Enjoying the training to get ready to play for one off charity fund raising game for azadi ka mahatsov..75 years of Indian independence and also for women empowerment with the top legends of the legends league cricket @llct20 need to hit some cricket balls soon.”

Raman Raheja, Co-Founder & CEO, Legends League Cricket, in an official release, said: “We thank legendary Sourav Ganguly for playing a match with other legends. Once a legend, always a legend, Dada is always there for Cricket. And he will play a special social cause match, which is going to be a spectacular view for our audience. We hope to see some iconic dada shots.”
Several former India cricket stars including Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan will be joined by the likes of Muttiah Muralitharan, Eoin Morgan, Jacques Kallis, Dale Steyn, Monty Panesar among others.
Legends League Cricket featured three teams, representing India, Rest of Asia and Rest of the world. For the first edition of the league, legendary cricketers Mohammad Kaif (India Maharajas), Misbah ul Haq (Asia Lions), and Darren Sammy (World Giants) were chosen to be the captains of their respective teams
