The Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has tried to calm the RCB fans by saying that they would win the IPL trophy after the video trolling the franchise. Kuldeep Yadav who is currently resting ahead of the Champions Trophy, was part of the YouTube live broadcast.
During the chat session, an RCB fan asked Kuldeep to come to the franchise, so that he could become a ‘goalkeeper’ for them. Meanwhile, Kuldeep was quick with his response and said that RCB needed an IPL trophy and not a goalkeeper.
During the live YouTube broadcast, a user named RCB management took to the ‘Super Chat’ section to say, “Kuldeep bhai RCB me aa jao, ek goalkeeper ki jarurat hai. (Kuldeep bro, please join RCB; we need one goalkeeper).”
However, Kuldeep Yadav was retained by Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, came up with the best response possible, saying, “Tumhe goalkeeper ki nahi, trophy ki jarurat hai mere bhai. Par me goal keeper ni hu 😂— Kuldeep yadav (@imkuldeep18) January 24, 2025
The video clip insanely gone viral on social media, and RCB fans are going after the Indian spinner for citing the franchise’s winless campaign over the years.
Noticing so many posts about him on X, Kuldeep wrote, “Chill yar rcb fans…Trophy apki hai. Par me goal keeper ni hu.”
RCB has came close to winning the IPL title in 2016 but suffered defeat in the finals against SRH.
The franchise had made the playoffs over the last few years, but the elusive title win still remains. With RCB yet to name their captian for the IPL 2025, after Faf was released ahead of the auction, the reports suggest that Virat Kohli will likely to take over the captaincy.
Meanwhile Kuldeep Yadav was recently named in India’s squad for the ODI series for home tour against England and Champions Trophy 2025.
The spinner has not played competitive cricket since his hernia surgery in November 2024. He has been building his bowling load at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
It is reported that Kuldeep Yadav is understood to be bowling 10-12 overs to go. The first ODI match of the series will begin on February 06 at VCA Stadium.
