Indian skipper Virat Kohli received his first dose of the COVID19 vaccine on Monday. The Indian captain recently returned home after the IPL 2021 was suspended indefinitely by the BCCI.
After returning home, Kohli, along with Anushka Sharma, donated a sum of Rs 2 crore to the fundraising event for India’s fight against Covid-19. Within 24 hours, the campaign received a total of Rs 3.6 crore in donations. Kohli and Anushka thanked their fans on social media for their contributions.
Virat Kohli receives COVID19 Vaccine
Kohli, who now lives in Mumbai, posted a photo on Instagram. “Vaccinate as soon as you can please. Stay Safe,” Kohli wrote in his Instagram story.
Kohli also recently took to social media to thank all the frontline workers in the medical department who had been putting their lives at risk to help the Covid-19 patients.
“I have nothing but gratitude for all the healthcare & frontline workers, I am in awe of their spirit and dedication. I also want to thank all the people who came forward in such difficult times & helped each other. India is grateful to have heroes like you,” the Indian captain posted on social media.
Ishant Sharma too got his Vaccine
Ishant Sharma too received his first dose of vaccine along with his wife on Monday. Ishant and his wife Pratima, a former Indian hoopster, also uploaded their selfie infront of a vaccination centre.
“Thankful for this and grateful for all the essential workers. Happy to see the smooth running of the facility & management. Let’s all get vaccinated at the earliest,” Ishant wrote on his Twitter handle.
