DK Helps RCB to Beat PBKS by 4 Wickets
Royal Challengers Bengaluru who lost their first game of the season against the defending champions CSK made their first victory of the season by beating Punjab Kings in their home venue.
Faf du Plessis chose to bowl first after winning the toss where Shikhar Dhawan and Bairstow opened the inning for PBKS. After Bairstow was dismissed for 8 runs, skipper Dhawan and Prabhsimran made a 55 runs stand for the next wicket.
Punjab Kings scored 176 runs for 6 wickets loss at the end of 20 overs. On the other hand, Virat Kohli and Faf opened the inning for RCB. While fans expected an impressive batting performance from their opening duo, but RCB skipper failed to fulfil their expectations and lost his wicket to Rabada after scoring just 3 runs.
The chase master took the responsibilities on his shoulders and led the team from the front. Virat scored 77 runs off 49 deliveries and lost his wicket ti Harshal Patel in a crucial stage.
RCB’s middle-order batter failed to build a match-winning partnership but Dinesh Karthik who is well known as a death-over specialist led the team to win the game by 4 wickets with 4 deliveries left.
