Lucknow Super Giants have named Lance Klusener as their assistant coach for the upcoming IPL season.
Klusener Named as LSG’s Assistant Coach for IPL 2024
Before his LSG assignment, Klusener already has IPL coaching experience, having been part of the coaching staff at Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Notably, the former South Africa allrounder is the head coach at LSG’s SA20 side, Durban Super Giants who made it to the final in the just-concluded season.
Klusener was also the head coach of Guyana Amazon Warriors in 2023 when they won their maiden CPL title. In international cricket, Lance Klusener has had stints with Afghanistan as head coach while also coaching Zimbabwe and South Africa in different capacities.
In January 2022, Klusener was appointed as the head coach of the Khulna Tigers in the Bangladesh Premier League. In March 2022, he was reappointed as batting coach of the Zimbabwe men’s national team. Currently, he is the coach of the cricket team of Tripura, a northeastern state of India
During his cricket career, Lance Klusener played 49 Tests, and 171 ODIs and scored 1906 and 3576 runs and also bagged 80 and 192 wickets respectively.
