Kolkata Knight Riders’ home game against Rajasthan Royals on April 17 might get rescheduled due to Rama Navami festivities.

Rajasthan Royals are scheduled to play in the 32nd match of the IPL 2024 schedule against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. BCCI is considering relocating the game or rescheduling the game on another date which has been hinted at by franchises, state associations, and broadcasters.
This annual festival is celebrated nationwide and authorities are unsure if they can provide adequate security during the festivities. Adding to this, the elections are said to be held simultaneously and hence BCCI is considering postponing the game.
BCCI and the Cricket Association of Bengals have had discussions with Kolkata Police about the issues. Although the final decision has not yet been taken, BCCI has hinted about rescheduling the game after discussing it with two franchises and broadcasters.
BCCI has revealed only the first part of the IPL 2024 schedule due to the election and the remaining will be announced after the election dates.
On this occasion, a BCCI top official said, “The discussions are on with the police authorities and we will take a decision soon.”
Recently, BCCI has arranged a meeting with IPL owners on April 16 to discuss various aspects of the Mega auction, Retentions, and Salary Cap for the next season.
KKR has secured the top position while Rajasthan Royals has secured third position in the IPL 2024 point table.
KKR has won two out of two games they played til now in the ongoing IPL campaign and will be facing Delhi Capitals on April 03 in home and away games.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals also secured two wins and is set to face Mumbai Indians on April 01 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
