West Indies limited-overs captain Kieron Pollard has suffered a significant personal loss as his father passed away. Kieron Pollard took to his official Instagram handle to share the tragic news alongside a couple of photos and posted an emotional message.

The cricket took to Instagram to share the tragic news with a couple of photos of his father, one of them after Mumbai Indians won the IPL in 2019.
Pollard wrote,” Rest easy, peacefully and gracefully #loveyoualways❤. Touched many hearts and souls . Will continue to make you proud . No more “tall boy” . I do know you are in a better place. #blessedandthankful.

It remains unclear as to what caused Kieron Pollard’s father to die as the Instagram post does not mention the reason.
Sachin Tendulkar comforts Pollard
Soon after hearing the tragic incident Indian former cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar makes a comment to comfort Pollard. Tendulkar tweeted: “Just got to know about the demise of your father @KieronPollard55. My deepest condolences to you & all your family members in this hour of grief. May God give you the strength to overcome this loss.”
Apart from Sachin Tendulkar, JP Duminy and Pollard’s Mumbai Indians’ teammate Suryakumar Yadav also paid respects and urged him to stay strong.
Kieron starred in West Indies’ comprehensive series victory and became the second player after Yuvraj Singh to smash six sixes in an over in T20 internationals. Pollard did so against spinner Akila Dananjaya and top-scored with 38 off 11 balls to ace a tricky chase of 132.
The Trinidad & Tobago all-rounder has been instrumental in Mumbai Indians’ success ever since joining the franchise in 2010. The 33-year old has played starring roles for Mumbai Indians in all five title victories. In 164 matches, he has 3023 runs at 29.93 alongside a strike rate of 149.88. Pollard also has 60 scalps and is a terrific fielder.
