Indian cricketer Kedar Jadhav has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket with immediate effect on June 3, 2024.
Jadhav followed his teammate MS Dhoni’s retirement announcement style and revealed his decision on his official social media handles. Kedar Jadhav made his last appearance in blue jersey back in 2020 in an ODI match against New Zealand at Eden Garden.
“Thank you all For your love and support throughout my Career from 1500 hrs. Consider me as retired from all forms of cricket,” Kedar Jadhav said in the post with a slide show of his career moments accompanied by “Zindagi Ke Safar Mein” song in the background.

Kedar Jadhav played his first international match in November 2014 against Sri Lanka in the fifth match of the Sri Lanks’s tour of India at Ranchi, scoring 20 runs off 24 balls before he was out-stumped.
The Maharastra-born made his international debut in 2014 and played 73 ODIs and 9 T20Is for India. During his cricketing career, Kedar scored 1389 and 122 runs in the ODI and T20I formats and also bagged 27 wickets.
He played 9 ODIs under MS Dhoni’s captaincy after having made his debut under the latter’s leadership. Jadhav played in the 2019 World Cup and was part of the team that reached the semi-final.
Kedar was a consistent performer in domestic cricket. He scored 5154 runs in first-class cricket which includes 14 centuries and 20 half centuries. In List A format matches, the right-hander scored 4735 runs which includes 9 centuries and 28 half centuries.
