Pakistan’s veteran wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal praises Umran Malik for his impressive performance in the 2nd ODI vs Bangladesh and said he is a fantastic addition to the Indian team.

Umran Malik once again grabbed the attention of many cricket experts and former cricketers by bowling a 151 KMPH delivery which dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto for 21 runs.
Umran Malik bagged 2 wickets under his name at an economy rate of 5.80 in India’s narrow defeat in the second ODI of the 3-match ODI series.
“Umran Malik is a fantastic addition to the Indian team. It’s good to see that they are grooming him and giving him more and more opportunities. India are known to have a weak bowling unit”.
“However, things will be different when the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, Mohammad Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar return. They have so many options to choose from. For India, bowling will surely not be an excuse at the 2023 World Cup.”
Umran Malik also received a warning for running on the pitch during the 49th over of the first innings. Injured Rohit’s 27-ball half-century went in vain after Indi lost the match by 5 runs.
Umran Malik made his ODI debut for the India cricket team in November 2022 against New Zealand and dismissed Devon Conway as his first wicket. So far Umran has played 4 ODIs and bagged 5 wickets at a best of 58/2.
Umran first made it into the Indian team as a net bowler in the 2021 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup following his impressive performance in IPL 2021 where he was named as a short-term COVID-19 replacement for T. Natarajan by the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The last and final ODI match will be played on December 10 in Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram.
