Josh Hazlewood dismissed India’s star batter Virat Kohli for a duck during the Super 8s clash played on June 24 at St Lucia. Hazlewood sent out Virat Kohli in the fourth ball of the second over, eliminating the threat in the powerplay.
Australia is scheduled to play in the 51st match of the T20 World Cup 2024 against India on June 25 at Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium. India secured two out of two wins in the Super 8s and remains unbeaten in the ongoing 2024 edition.
A third win for India will substantially threaten Australia’s semi-final chances after an unexpected defeat against Afghanistan at St Vincent. If they lose the match against India they have to track the match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh for their chances in Semi finals.
Australia plays a must-win match against India after winning one out of two matches in the Super 8 stages. They won the match against Bangladesh but suffered a defeat against Afghanistan on Saturday clash.
Coming to the match, Australia won the toss and chose to bowl. They brought in Mitchell Starc for Ashton Agar from the previous match against Afghanistan.

In the fourth ball of the second over, Hazlewood delivered a short ball with extra bounce where Kohli went for a pull shot and got a top edge towards wide mid-on. Tim David sprinted back from the inside circle and latched the catch. With his dismissal, India lost their first wicket for 6 runs.
