The Zimbabwean cricketer Sikandar Raza has been roped into PBKS Squad during the IPL 2023 season for a base price of INR 50 lakhs. He played 7 matches in the season where he amassed 139 runs with a match-winning 57 runs against LSG.

They finished in 8th place on the points table in the previous season and missed the playoffs. To be noted, Punjab has qualified for playoffs only two times out of 16 seasons.
Punjab Kings roped in eight new players during the IPL 1024 auction. Harshal Patel was the highest buy for the franchise with INR 11.75 crores in the auction.
They also roped Chris Woakes, Ashutosh Sharma, Vishwanath Pratap Singh, Shashank Singh, Tanay Thyagarajann, Prince Choudhary, and Rile Rossouw.
They are one of the three teams that never won the IPL including Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Punjab Kings has a core of many English players in the squad including players like Sam Curran, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, and Chris Woakes are set to play in the IPL 2024.
The IPL 2024 is set to start with a grand opening ceremony featuring a star-studded lineup to captivate audiences with their marvelous performances.
The first match of the IPL 2024 is set to begin on March 22 with CSK and RCB facing off each other at Chennai Stadium. PBKS will be playing their first match of the campaign against Delhi Capitals on March 23 at Maharaja Yadavindra International Cricket Stadium.
