Australia’s star spinner Jess Jonassen is set to miss the start of Australia’s T20 tour of Ireland after testing COVID19 positive on the eve of Australia’s departure for the UK.

Australian women are scheduled to play 4 T20I matches against Pakistan and Ireland between July 16 to July 23.
The matches between Australia, Pakistan, and Ireland will serve as a preparation game for the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022 where Australia will play their first match against India on July 29.
In the absence of Jess Jonassen, Tasmania all-rounder Heather Graham has been called into the squad as back-up and will arrive in the United Kingdom in the coming days.
The Australian squad arrived in Belfast on Tuesday and had several days to prepare for their opening T20 against Pakistan on Saturday.
