Women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah unveiled Team India’s new ODI jersey on November 29 in Mumbai.

The event took place at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai. India’s new ODI jersey has India’s tri-colour gradient on the shoulders while in the previous jersey, the tri colour will be embroidered as the strip.

In the new jersey, the strips will be presented in plain white with the national flag’s tri-colour background. The BCCI logo will be on the left side of the jersey while the kit sponsor – the Adidas logo will be on the right chest area of the jersey.

In the men’s jersey, the BCCI logo will be crowned by two starts indicating India’s two ODI World Cup victories.

During the launch event, India women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur confirmed that they appear in the new ODI jersey during the West Indies three-match ODI series set to be played in Vadodara between December 22 and 27.

“It’s an honour to unveil the jersey today. It’s a really proud feeling that we will be the first ones to wear the jersey against the West Indies. I am really happy. I like the look. The tri-colour on the shoulders is looking really beautiful. Happy that we have got a special ODI jersey,” Harmanpreet Kaur said in a video shared by the BCCI.
