The Indian Pacer Bumrah is set to be rested for the fourth Test of England’s tour of India in 2024.
Jasprit Bumrah to be Rested for Fourth Test
The star pacer Jasprit Bumrah who was set to be rested for the third test, will be missing the fourth test of the ongoing England series. His inclusion in the fifth test at Dharamsala will depend upon the outcome of the fourth Test.
The Indian team will be starting in Ranchi on February 20 and the player will part ways with the team and travel to Ahmedabad. The management’s decision to rest of Bumrah is to manage the workload.
He bowled around 81 overs in three games and picked 17 wickets becoming the leading wicket-taker in the ongoing series. There is no information about the replacement of Bumrah for the upcoming test.
India won the third match of the ongoing series with a 434-run difference. Ravindra Jadeja bagged five wickets in England’s second innings helping the side to secure victory.
On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj was rested in the second Test which was played in Viazg. Mukesh Kumar rested during the third match so that he could play in Bengal’s final group stage match in the Ranji Trophy 2024 schedule.
Bengal won the match against Bihar by an innings and 204 runs which started on February 16, at Eden Gardens.
India leads the series 2-1 and will be playing their fourth test of the ongoing series starting on February 23 at JSCA International Stadium Complex.
