Speculations have been raised on Bumrah’s availability for the Champions Trophy 2025 after he could not bowl at SCG due to back spams.
Bumrah has been the spearhead of Indian cricket and his fitness has created speculations on his availability for the upcoming ICC event in Pakistan.
With no fitness update provided after the end of BGT, a report has claimed that Bumrah would miss the series against England. It further said that Bumrah will be in the squad for the CT 2025 but only will play if India makes the knockouts.

Jasprit Bumrah picked 22 wickets in three tests in December with an average of 14.22 and finished with 32 wickets in the five match test series.
He could not bowl in Australia’s second innings at Sydney due to back spasm. Despite a series defeat, Bumrah emerged as positive for India. He delivered 908, the second most in the series after Pat Cummins.
“A little frustrating (on injury) but sometimes you have to respect your body, and you can’t fight your body,” Bumrah had said after the match.
“Sometimes, you have to accept. Would have loved to bowl on the spiciest wicket of the series. Just had a little discomfort after the first innings.”
With the men in blues to play in England’s tour of India including T20I and ODI matches, Bumrah’s availability is a major concern.
