Jasprit Bumrah has shaken off injury concerns by bowling full tilt in the nets ahead of the Brisbane Tests on December 12.
Bumrah has been in peak performance for India in the ongoing series as he led the side to a 295-run victory in Perth. During the Adelaide test, the pacer picked four wickets to his name despite the visitors suffering a loss.
During the pink-ball test, Bumrah go down on the field and had to be consulted by the Physios. While it was suspected to be cramps by Damien Fleming, seeing Bumrah bowling in nets has ruled out the concerns.
Now, the Indian pacer has gotten back into the nets and was seen bowling at his usual best. Bumrah has been bowling at the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul.
Bumrah was being a handful to both the Indian batters during the net session. Bumrah is leading the way at the moment when it comes to the highest wicket-taker chart in the ongoing BGT series. The India pacer has picked 12 wickets from the 2 matches played at an incredible average of 11.25.
The 31 year old is the leading test wicket taker in 2024 with 53 scalps to his name. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma spent time facing the new ball in the nets on Thursday after batting at No.6 in adelaide.
He faced all of Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep with the new ball. Rahul then returned to the nets later in the session, facing a newish ball along side Virat Kohli.
Sharma has scored 3 and 6 in India’s 10 wicket loss in Adelaide and has gone above 20 runs just twice in his past 12 Test innings.
The defeat in the Pink-ball test has moved India to third position in the WTC points table. Meanwhile Australia has secured scond place in WTC standings. The third match of the Australia-India tests will begin on December 14 at The Gabba.
