“I am not a selector, I am a match-day strategist and as head coach, I am all about the players. My focus is on the players and all that, let selectors do their jobs. We just go out there and play the best possible cricket we can play,” said Jason Gillespie.
He revealed that the newly appointed selection panel made some big changes and that he was not part of the decision-making.
“The PCB came out and made some changes after that Test match. It was decided that a new selection panel would come in, and they would be making decisions. I wasn’t involved in the decision-making, I was just there. I am now a coach and a match-day strategist. I keep out of things now and focus on the players and just getting them ready for cricket.” he added.
