James Anderson achieved a rare feat creating history in test cricket on day 03 of the final test at Dharamsala. He picked up his 700th test wicket after dismissing Kuldeep Yadav in India’s first innings.

Anderson became the third person to achieve the feat after Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan (800) and leg-spinner Shane Warne (708) wickets.

After making his debut in 2003, Anderson has been serving England cricket for almost two decades and has been one of the leading bowlers in the test format.

Anderson dismissing Kuldeep helped his side to conclude India’s innings for 477 runs. He has 96 wickets more than his pace bowling rival Stuart Broad who retired from Test cricket after the Ashes last year.

Coming to the match, England chose to bat first and scored 218 runs where Zak Crawley was the only scorer smashing 79 runs on 108 deliveries including 11 fours and one six. Kuldeep Yadav collapsed the England’s top-order batting line-up.

Kuldeep Yadav bagged five wickets while Ashwin became handy with his fourth test in his 100th test match.

England was sent out with 218 runs on the 58th over of the match. With a trail of 218 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma opened the innings on day 01 in the fifth test.

Their partnership made 104 runs for the first wicket where Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed 57 runs on 58 deliveries before being dismissed by Shoaib Bashir.

Shubman Gill came to bat and scored 26* runs while Rohit Sharma scored 52* runs by the end of day 01. Resuming the match on day 02, Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma both scored a century.

with the dismissal of Rohit Sharma by Ben Stokes on his very first ball in the series, Shubman Gill was sent out with 110 runs by James Anderson.

Devdutt Padikkal smashed a half-century during his test debut. He scored 65 runs before being dismissed by Shoaib Bashir. The bowler dismissed Sarfaraz Khan for 56 runs.

With Dhruv Jurel and Ravindra Jadeja dismissed for 15 runs each, Ashwin was sent out on a duck. Kuldeep Yadav scored 30 runs while Jasprit Bumrah was sent out with 20 runs.

India finally scored 477 runs losing all 10 wickets in the first innings. With a trail of 259 runs, England started their second innings where the side suffered three dismissals for 36 runs.

But Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow were batting with 23 and 37 runs respectively at the time of writing at HPCA Stadium.
