After multiple issues in the squad selection finally, BCCI revealed the India squad for final three tests against England. During the England tour of India 2024, a total of 5 tests have been scheduled to be played between January 25 to March 11.
KL Rahul and Jadeja Named in India Squad
KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja who were doubtful for the 3 test matches were finally named in the India squad. KL Rahul and Jadeja sustained quadriceps and hamstring injuries respectively kept them out of the Test in Visakhapatnam.
However, the BCCI has clarified that their participation will be subject to clearance from the medical team. Mohammed Shami, who is yet to return to the squad after suffering an ankle injury at the end of last year’s World Cup campaign will continue to miss out the campaign.
As reported earlier, Virat Kohli will miss the entire test series owing to a family emergency. Shreyas Iyer will be the other major absentee in the middle order. Iyer has been ruled out of the remaining of the test match with a back stiffness he sustained during the second Test.
Thus both Rajat Patidar and Sarfaraz Khan have managed to retain their spots. Siraj who has been rested for the 2nd test will make his way back into the squad for the final three tests.
Bumrah who has been doubtful for the remaining tests finally named in the squad after considering his workload management.

The third test of the series will be played between February 15 to 19 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot. Notably, Both teams have won a match each so far.
