    IPL 2025 Retentions Announcement: Retained Players for all 10 Teams

    IPL 2025 Retentions Announcement: The deadline for the franchises’ declaration of the retained players will be announced on October 31 before 5 PM IST.

    According to new IPL 2025 retention rules, each team can retain six players from the existing squad, either via retention or by using the Right to Match (RTM) option.

    All franchises have a total budget of INR 120 crore for retention and the auction. Each player can retain a maximum of five capped players and two uncapped players.

    While the IPL has set minimum deductions from the auction purse for every player retention, the first slot will be INR 18 crore, the second INR 14 crore, the third INR 11 crore, the fourth INR 18 crore, the fifth INR 14 crore and the uncapped Rs 4 crore.

    With a fresh three-year cycle starting with the IPL 2025 season next year, the upcoming retentions will be crucial for all the teams to adopt new strategies for success.

    The IPL 2025 Mega Auction will take place in November or December with BCCI exploring the options of holding the event overseas, Riyadh in the United Arab Emirates has emerged as the frontrunner while Muscat, Doha and Riyadh are also being considered.
