The first match of the IPL 2024 schedule will feature the intense clash between reigning champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The live cricket action will be broadcast on Star Sports and the live streaming will be available on Jio Cinema.
But before the cricket match, the audience will witness the grand opening ceremony featuring top Bollywood celebrities at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium.
The event is set to begin around 06:30 PM IST before the match. Several Bollywood Stars are set to perform on the stage including Sonu Nigam who is set to make his debut performance in the IPL.

The reports suggested that AR Rahman would be performing with his group. The duration of the show will be 30 minutes which includes the performance of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. They will be performing to promote their upcoming mover Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

The opening ceremony of IPL 2023 featured the performance of Arinit Singh, Rashmika Mandanna and Tamannah Bhatia. The 17th edition of the IPL 2024 sponsored by TATA is one of the most anticipated leagues worldwide. 10 teams will be participating after adding two new franchises in 2022.
The inaugural match will kickstart at 08:00 PM IST at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium while the following matches will be played at 03:30 PM and 07:30 PM IST.
