Aakash Chopra on KL Rahul’s injury
KL Rahul was complained of a Quadriceps niggle after the first Test of the England’s tour of India in 2024. BCCI has revealed that Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul will be ruled out of the second Test due to the injury.
Despite having a lineup with KL Rahul, Jadeja, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian side failed to make an impact in the test. On this occasion, the former cricketer Aakash Chopra has said that KL Rahul’s injury will be a thorn in his cricketing career. His past has been linked with lots of injuries.
With only one day ahead of the second Test, India is struggling to fill in the batting line-up in the playing 11. The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are scratching their heads to fill the spots with experienced batters in the line-up.
“This has been the biggest problem in KL Rahul’s career. Injuries or illnesses have come at the wrong time and they have come many a time.”
“When you feel everything is gone fine – injury, dengue, or COVID – something or the other goes wrong with him. I feel Rahu is sitting in his kundalini,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube Channel.
“The way he played in the first innings, and to be fair, he was batting assuredly in the second innings as well. There are very few people in our team who play the sweep. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul play the sweep, and KL Rahul will now not be there in this game,” Chopra added.
India and England will be playing their second Test match starting on February 02 at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.
