Indian batter Shubman Gill was copped with injury once again just days before the Melbourne test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Gill was seen in pain after one of Siraj‘s delivery hit him on his right hand. The batter halted his training for a while but refused to leave the nets.
He sustained a similar injury before the Perth test after fracturing his thumb which ruled him out of the opening test. On the day, a member of the Indian team’s medical staff checked up on his Shubman Gill and was deemed fit to continue moments later.
India will take on Australia in the Boxing Day test match on December 26. The team will hope for a strong performance after their gritty performance at Gabba.
India has been gearing up for the fourth test and seemed to overflow with confidence from the test match and were seen in good spirits. Virat Kohli got into a confrontaton with a female journalist at the Melbourne airport, the Australia media alleged that Ravindra Jadeja refused to entertain questions in English.
Kohli was seen fine-tuning his skills in the nets at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) ahead of the crucial Boxing day test against Australia. Kohli quickly requested silence, priortising complete concentration on his preparations.
Virat Kohli faced Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna and a local left-arm spinner in the nets, appearing a rock solid in his approach. Kohli displayed impeccable defence and confidently left back of a length deliveries.
The third match of the BGT ended in draw after the rain spoiled the game on day 05 and both sides have one victory each. The fourth match of the Australia-India tests will be played beginning on December 26 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
