The arch-rival India vs Pakistan clash of the ICC women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be played on October 6 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai.
India lost their opening game of the ICC event against New Zealand and made a terrible start. On the other hand, Fatima Sana Pakistan Women made an impressive start by beating the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup winners in their tournament opener.

Winning the toss, Pakistan Women decided to bat first. Pakistan’s Diana Baig who sustained a calf injury on Thursday has been sidelined for the clash against India while India missed out Pooja Vastrakar with an injury.
Diana Baig will be replaced by Syeda Aroob Shah while India’s batting allrounder Sajana will replace Pooja Vastrakar.

During the toss, Pakistan Women captain Fatima Sana said “We will bat first, put up a total on the board. Diana Baig misses out, that’s the only change, she’s replaced by Aroob. It’s a big blow, but we’ve players who can do well in her absence. We’ll try to put up a good total here. I’m excited to lead Pakistan against India”.
Indian Women captain Harmanpreet Kaur said “We would have batted first as well, but we’ll have to bowl well and restrict them. We have one change, Pooja is out with an injury, and she’s been replaced by Sajana. We’ll have to move forward with a positive approach, it’s always how you bounce back and we’ve spoken about it. We will go out there and play some positive cricket”.
