Legendary batter and former head coach Rahul Dravid’s son Samit has earned his maiden call-up in the India U-19 squad for the multi-format series against Australia U-19.
BCCI announced the Under-19 squad on August 31 where Samit Dravid also found a place in both red-ball and white-ball teams. The 18-year-old Samit recently played in the Maharaja T20 Trophy for Mysore Warriors where he scored 82 runs from seven innings at an average of 11.71 and a strike rate of 113.88.

His highest score comes from the match against Gulbarga Mystics scoring 33 runs with the help of four fours and a six. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh’s Mohamed Amaan will be seen leading the ODI in the upcoming series while Soham Patwardhan will be seen leading the team in the four-day matches.
India’s U-19 multi-format tournament will kickstart with the ODI series and the first match will be played on September 21 at Puducherry.
