India Squad for Australia T20I Series 2023: Following India’s heartbroken World Cup 2023 final, they will host the 2023 WC winner Australia to play the 5-match T20I series between November 26 to December 3.
Notably, the 5-match T20I series is a part of the Australia tour of India 2023 which began prior to the World Cup 2023 campaign.

India Squad for Australia T20I Series 2023: Indian senior players Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and part of India’s World Cup 2023 squad have been rested for the T20I series.
In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav has been named as the captain of the Indian cricket team while Asian Games 2023 Gold Medal-winning captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will be his deputy for the IND vs AUS 2023 T20I series.
VVS Laxman will be the head coach for the five-game series that will end in Bangalore on December 3. Prasidh Krishna, who was part of the World Cup squad is set to be part of the series while injured Hardik Pandya has not been considered.
Axar Patel, who was replaced by R Ashwin in India’s ODI World Cup squad earlier due to an injury he sustained in the lead-up to the tournament will return to the squad.
The selectors had also considered making Shreyas Iyer captain but decided against it because of the workload he has taken over the last few months, starting with the Asia Cup 2023.
However, Shreyas will join the squad as the vice-captain for the last 2 T20I games scheduled to be played in Raipur and Bengaluru.
