India 2024-25 Home Season: BCCI Confirms Schedule for WTC Cycle

India 2024-25 home Season: BCCI has officially announced that India is set to host Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England during the 2024-25 season where they will play five tests, three ODIs, and eight T20Is.

International Fixtures for India 2024-25 Home Season

BCCI has announced the Indian men’s Team matches for the 2024/25 season which kicks off in September.  The season starts with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh. Chennai will host the first test and Kanpur Stadium will host the second Test starting on September 27.

This will be Bangladesh’s third test tour to India after their one-off test in 2017 and two-match series in 2019. After their test series, they will play a three-match T20I series in Dharamsala, Delhi, and Hyderabad.

After a home tour against Bangladesh, New Zealand will be traveling to India to play a three-match test series starting on October 16. Bengaluru, Pune, and Mumbai will host the tests.

Before the Champions Trophy 2025, England will play a five-match T20I series and a match ODI series. Recently, they lost a test series 4-1 on England’s tour of India.

The test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand will give India a push to qualify for their third successive World Test Championship final. India currently leads the WTC 2023-25 points table with six wins out of nine matches and a 68.51% win percentage.

Currently, India is taking part in the T20 World Cup 2024 where they qualified for the Super 8 after topping the points table in the Group stages. Afghanistan and India have played 8 T20 matches where India won seven matches and one resulted in a tie. India and  Afghanistan will clash on the stages of Super 8s on June 20 at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
