The play on Day 02 of the IND vs BAN 2nd test has been called off due to persistent rain at Kanpur. After the rain-shortened day 01 of the second test, India and Bangladesh eyed a 90 over action, but weather proved to be spoilsport at Green Park.
The first day’s play has been concluded with rain after just 35 overs. Bangladesh managed to score 107 for the loss of three wickets when bad light followed by a spell of rain cut the day’s play short midway through the second session.
The visitors were put to bat on a pitch with green and under overcast conditions by Rohit Sharma. Openers Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam blocked out the opening spell by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.

Mominul Haque and captain Najmul Hossain Shanto built up the partnership in the middle to balance the side till lunch.

Recently, Shakib Al Hasan announced his international retirement at a pre-match conference and could be his last test match if he is unable to return home for a slated South Africa series.
