Shubman Gill was impressive as he scored fifty in 37 balls while the skipper Rohit scored 50 in 42 balls. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul partnership have scored 24 runs on 38 deliveries when rain suddenly made an appearance and forced the players to return to the pavilion.

India will be starting from 24.1 overs and the match will resume at 15:00 local time. Previously the IND-PAK clash at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on September 2 in the group stage matches of the Asia Cup 2023, was canceled due to rain after the completion of India’s innings.

Again rain interrupted the IND-NEP clash which was then decided by the DLS method where India India won the game and qualified for the Super Fours.

With the match to be continued on Monday, India will be playing their next match on September 12, 2023, against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium. This will be a tight scheduled as India will be facing Sri Lanka in less than 24 hours after the completion of their match against Pakistan.
