    Harry Brook Hits His Maiden Double Century in Tests

    Harry Brook smashed his first double century in red-ball cricket during the first test match on England’s tour of Pakistan at Multan.

    Following the footprints of Joe Root who became England’s highest run-getter in Tests and smashed his sixth test century, Brook also smashed his double century to post the team score of 658 before lunch on day 04 of the first test.

    Brook has also achieved a significant milestone in his cricket career as he completed 3,000 international runs. In tests, Brook has played 19 matches, scoring 1699 runs at an average of 58.58. He has also hit six centuries and nine fifties in 31 innings, with his highest score of 186.

    Harry Brook has also made history as the first batter to score a century in four consecutive tests on Pakistan soil.

    After Pakistan posted a massive total of 556 runs in the first innings, Responding to the mammoth total, Zak Crawley and Joe Root forged a partnership for 113 runs before Zak Crawley sent out for 78 runs.

    Joe Root and Ben Duckett joined hands putting a 136-run partnership for the second wicket. After the dismissal of Duckett, Harry Brook and Joe Root stitched a 300+ runs partnership aiming to surpass Pakistan’s 556 total. Only Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah and Aamer Jamal managed to pick a wicket each.

    Meanwhile, Harry Brook is also on the verge of smashing a double ton as he went past 150 runs when Root smashed his sixth double century. By the end of the 113th over, England levelled the scores with Pakistan.

    in the 126th over, Harry Brook managed to score his first double-century and continued to bat until scoring 218 runs before lunch. Meanwhile, Joe Root scored 259* runs and stood firmly at the crease before lunch at Multan Cricket Stadium.

    Their Partnership score crossed 400 runs and joined the pairs of Don Bradman- Will Ponsford and Hashim Amla – Jacques Kallis who have multiple 300-plus stands away from home.
