Rising star Harry Brook has been named as England’s white-ball vice-captain ahead of the T20I series against India 2025. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced the news on January 20.
Brook is counted amongst the rising stars of international cricket with his impressive exploits across all three formats. He recently became the number one batter in tests for the first time and has also proved to have remarkable performance in both ODI and T20Is.
ECB didn’t name a vice-captain during the England squad announcement for the upcoming tour of India.
In 20 ODIs, Brook has scored 719 runs at an average of 39.94 and a strike rate of 106.83 with one hundred and five fifties. In T20Is, he played 39 games and scored 707 runs at an average of 30.73 and a strike rate of 146.07.

Despite having a poor run in the ODI World Cup 2023, Brook made a remarkable comeback in the 50-over format finishing as the highest run scorer of the five-match ODI series against Australia in September 2024 scoring 312 runs in five innings at an average of 78 with one hundred and two fifties.
Brook will be once again expected to play a crucial role for the team in the T20I, ODI series against India and the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025.
