Pakistan pace bowler Haris Rauf has been ruled out of the ongoing test series against England owing to a thigh injury.
Haris Rauf Ruled Out of England Test Series
Haris Rauf who made his Test debut on the first test match of the England tour of Pakistan 2022 at his hometown(Rawalpindi) struck with an injury after stepping on the ball while fielding on the first day of the match.
“A grade-II strain in the right quad has ruled Haris Rauf out of the Test series against England. The fast bowler underwent an MRI during the first day’s play of the Rawalpindi Test after he rolled over the ball while fielding.
The scans and the subsequent assessment by the PCB medical staff concluded that the fast bowler suffered a grade-II strain. Haris will travel to Lahore where he will begin his rehabilitation at the National High-Performance Centre”, the PCB statement reads.
Ben stokes led England thrashed Pakistan by a 74 runs defeat in the first Test match and scripts history by becoming the first team to cross the 500-run mark on the first day of a Test match.
Post the 74 runs defeat, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam admitted being unhappy with the pitch as he didn’t get the sort of wicket that he wanted in the match. While England captain Ben Stokes labels the victory as “One Of The Greatest Away Wins“.
Ahead of the second Test match, England also faces a blow after all-rounder Liam Livingstone ruled out owing to injury.
The second Test match of the series will be played on December 09 at Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan while the last Test will be played on December 17.
