Hardik Pandya’s divorce announcement came shortly after BCCI announced the India squad for Sri Lanka tour, which saw Suryakumar Yadav surpassing Hardik in the T20I captaincy race.
“After 4 years of being together, Natasa and I have decided to mutually part ways. We tried our best together and gave it our all, and we believe this is in the best interest for the both of us. Hardik Pandya confirms that they will co-parent their only son ‘Agastya’ amid their separation.
“We are blessed with Agastya, who will continue to be at the centre of both our lives and we will co-parent to ensure that we give him everything that we can for his happiness. We sincerely request your support and understanding to give us the privacy during this difficult and sensitive time”, the post further reads.

Since his comeback to Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024, Hardik Pandya has faced many backlashes in his cricket as well as in his personal life. The newly appointed Mumbai Indians captain received tons of criticism from MI fans and cricket experts on behalf of his performances in the tournament.
Even though some former cricketers backed the allrounder, fans still booed and showed disrespect towards Hardik Pandya which proportionally affected his game in IPL 2024.
Under Hardik’s captaincy, Mumbai managed to register just four wins out of 14 league games and failed to qualify for the playoffs round. Apart from his performance, Natasa Stankovic’s absence stirred a new controversy regarding their separation.
Natasa added strength to the rumours by removing her surname ‘Pandya’ from her Instagram handle and was also not seen in any of the IPL matches involving the all-rounder in his maiden season as MI captain.
Stankovic had also hidden pictures of their wedding and some pictures of being with Hardik Pandya on her account.
The divorce rumour was nearly confirmed right after India’s victorious T20 World Cup 2024 campaign. Hardik who struggled to find his form back, made an outstanding performance in the tournament.
While he showers in praising posts on social media, Natasa didn’t upload any posts regarding Hardik Pandya’s performance in the World Cup campaign even his heroic final over that sealed a thrilling seven-run victory for India was not acknowledged by her.
Hardik Pandya and Natasa Stankovic got engaged on 1 January 2020 and had their first child Agastya on 30 July 2020. On 14 February 2023, the couple renewed their wedding vows in a grand ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
