Right-arm pacer Gus Atkinson has made his comeback after 13 months as England playing Xl for the opener match of the T20I series against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Meanwhile Jofra Archer, Jamie Overton and Mark Wood as his partners in the fast-bowling department. On the other hand, Adil Rashid is the only specialist spin-bowling option along with the other options of Liam Livingstone and Jacob Bethell.
The England team reached India and started their training session. Livingstone was the first to come to India as he flew in straight from South Africa following his stint with pretoria captials in the SA20 2025.
The rest of the English squad arrived later in the evening on Saturday after completing training in Duabi.

England’s batting lineup features newly appointed vice captain Harry Brook and Ben Duckett will be crucial to their success. Phil Salt will be keeping the wickets and open alongside with Ben Duckett while Buttler will bat at three.
England has won 11 out of 24 T20Is against India since they first met in Men’s T20 World Cup 2007 match at the Kingsmead in Durban. On Indian soil, England have won five out of 11 matches. However, they haven’t won a bilateral series in India since their 1-0 win back in 2011.
In their previous meeting in T20Is, India defeated England by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium in the semifinals of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
