Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib has been roped by Delhi Capitals as a replacement for the injured Mitchell Marsh for the remainder of IPL 2024.
Gulbadin Naib will join the Delhi Capitals squad for his base price of INR 50 Lakh. Notably, this will be the first time Gulbadin has been selected to play in the IPL.
Mitchell Marsh who sustained a hamstring niggle returned to Australia on April 12. During his participation in the ongoing season, Marsh failed to make an impression with with bat or ball.
On the other hand, Naib had impressed in the series T20I against India in January this year, stroking two half-centuries in Indore and Bengaluru respectively. Bowling allrounder Gulbadin Naib has so far played 64 T20I matches scored 802 runs and bagged 26 wickets.

Delhi Capitals will play their next match of the season against Mumbai Indians on April 27 in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.
