The All-rounder Justin Greaves returns to the West Indies squad for the three-match ODI series in Bangladesh tour of West Indies 2024.

Meanwhile, Wk-batter Amir Jangoo has earned a maiden call-up for the ODI format. Both Jangoo and Greaves have been called up after a consistent form in the domestic Super 50 ODI tournament.

Jangoo finished as the tournament’s highest run getter with 446 runs in seven innings at 89.20 with three fifties and a century. On the other hand Greaves was second run getter with 410 runs at a strike rate of 133.66 which included three consecutive centuries.

“Greaves is capable of batting anywhere in the top six and brings that genuine all-round ability to the squad, which is welcomed at this stage,” said head coach Daren Sammy.

“Jangoo’s prowess in the CG United Super50 shows his flexibility to bring another dimension to our batting unit.”

Only Haydel Walsh and Jewel Andrew from the ODI squad which played against England has been dropped out. It is stated that Andrew will be one of the players to travel India to attend batting camp at CSK academy.

“We continue to build towards the main target of the Men’s 50-over World Cup where we are looking to broaden the pool of players even with the short-term objectives of winning series, especially at home and building momentum on the recent win against England,” Sammy said.

Meanwhile captain Shai Hope, and Brandon King will be leading the batting unit which has several hitters like Evin Lewis, Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Keacy Carty and Roston Chase.

Meanwhile, the BCB has revealed that Mehidy Hasan will be leading Bangladesh squad for the ODI series which begin on December 08.
