The Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir flew to India for Personal Reasons during the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy and has reunited with the team at Adelaide.
Gautam Gambhir flew back to India on November 26 after the visitors secured a 295-run victory in the Perth Test. On December 03, Gautam Gambhir arrived in Adelaide, where he received a stay that probably also hosts the Indian team.
India’s warm up match against Prime Minister Xl at Canberra, which was mentored by Ryan ten Doeschate and Abhishek Nayar concluded with a positive result.
Gambhir was spotted while stepping out of his car with his luggage, rocking a black sweatshirt with a pair of blue denim jeans ans sneakers.
With Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill made their return during the practice game match agianst Prime Minister Xl, India’s batting lineup is starting to shine with a mix of experienced veterans and exciting young talent.
Rohit Sharma missed the first test due to the birth of his second child while Shubman Gill missed the test due to thumb injury.
Earlier on the first test, in the absence of Rohit and Gill, Jaiswal and KL Rahul forged a solid partnership to score 200+ opening stand to lay foundation for India’s win at Perth.
Meanwhile Virat Kohli also smashed a century which further boosted India’s high margin win. With Bumrah and Siraj destroying Australia’s batting line up, India went for a massive win at Perth. Bumrah picked 8 wickets across the match and will be expected to lead the bowling unit during the day-night test.
But the return of the duo will make major change in the batting line up for the second test. Taking the 1-0 lead, India regained the top spot in the WTC points table.
The second match of the Australia-India tests will begin on December 06 at Adelaide Oval.
