Two players have been added to the Australia squad to play in the final match of the T20I series of the West Indies tour of Australia 2024.
Australia Squad for final T20I against West Indies
Fraser-McGurk and Wes Agar await their T20I debut as they were added to the squad ahead of the final T20I against West Indies. This change was due to Josh Hazlewood’s return home to Sydney to prepare for the upcoming New Zealand tour.
Australia already has two victories in the T20I series and looks forward to sweeping over the series against West Indies. Fraser McGurk was incredible during the final match of the ODI series.
His addition will be exciting for Australian fans who are set to feast on the partnership of Glenn Maxwell and Fraser-McGurk. Glenn Maxwell was impressive during the second T20I match where he smashed 120 runs on 55 deliveries.
“Although we’ve won the series, we want to win 3-0. That represents an exciting opportunity for us,” said captain Mitch Marsh on Monday.
Like Fraser-McGurk, Agar has also played two ODIs for Australia in his debut tour of the West Indies in 2021.
Australia and West Indies will be playing their third T20I match on February 13 at Optus Stadium.
