Faf du Plessis Collapse on Field After a Nasty Collision in PSL 2021

Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis, who is currently playing for Quetta Gladiators in the PSL, was involved in a horrific collision with teammate Mohammed Hasnain.

Faf du Plessis Suffers Some Memory Loss

The former South African captain accidentally collided with Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hasnain while trying to stop a boundary. Being a world-class fielder, Faf dived only to stop the ball from touching the rope.

After the incident, Du Plessis laid down on the ground as medical assistance came rushing for the star batsman. Du Plessis then was subsequently removed from the contest and Saim Ayub replaced the South African as a concussion substitute.

Meanwhile, Du Plessis’ wife Immari Visser, who has been left heart-broken with the incident, took to Instagram and wrote: “This is killing me right now. Surely he should be checked in hospital?”

    Faf recovered and thanked everyone

“Thank you everyone for all the messages of support,” the former Proteas skipper du Plessis tweeted on Sunday.

“I’m back at the hotel recovering. Have concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully be back on the field soon.”

Thank you everyone for all the messages of support. I’m back at the hotel recovering. Have concussion with some memory loss but I will be fine. Hopefully be back on the field soon. Much love.

The Gladiators also had to use a concussion substitute in its previous match when West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell was hit on his helmet by a Mohammad Musa bouncer in the match against Islamabad United.

Russell was checked over by a physio and was allowed to bat on but was out in the very next ball. He was taken to hospital, with Naseem Shah playing as a concussion substitute.
