ENGW vs SCOW Playing 11: Heather Knight-led England is scheduled to play in the 17th match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 against Kathryn Bryce-led Scotland on October 13 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
Scotland women won the toss and opted to bat first. While speaking at the toss, Kathryn Bryce said, “We are gonna have a bat first, we want to put a bit of pressure on them. One change for us – McColl replaces Chaterjee.”
“The slow outfields and slow pitches have made it difficult to have an expansive game. This is really exciting to be playing against one of the best teams in the world. Looking forward to a good contest and see what can happen.”
Meanwhile, Heather Knight said, “We would have batted first as well but not much fussed about bowling first. We have made two changes – Alice is unwell and Sophia Dunkley comes in her place, Bell comes in for Smith.”
“We have had five days off, we need to refocus and do our best. First of all, we want to win, if we get an opportunity to improve our nrr, we will see to it.”
