Former India cricketer Dodda Ganesh was sacked as Kenya’s Head coach after being appointed for the role on August 14, 2024.

Kenya played in the 2011 edition of the World Cup co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh and Ganesh has big ambitions of executing Kenya’s return to the World Cup.

He had made his goal clear at the Sikh Union Club during a felicitation ceremony last month. “The objective is to qualify for the World Cups, both ODIs and T20Is, but before that, we need to start preparing and start making progress.”

“We have started preparing, and the signs are good. We got hardly any time left [for the first tournament], so I am watching local league matches. There will be fitness tests. We will slowly get into a process,” said Dodda Ganesh.
