Indian Cricketer Dinesh Karthik is set to make his last IPL appearance in his 2024 edition and will decide on his international retirement after the T20 league.

Dinesh Karthik started his IPL Career in Delhi Daredevils and is part of the seven players to have featured in every season of IPL since the inaugural season in 2008 along with MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Shikar Dhawan, Wriddhiman Saha and Manish Pandey.
He started his IPL career at Delhi Daredevils and has played for Punjab Kings, and Mumbai Indians before going back to Delhi in 2014. He joined RCB in 2015 for INR 10.5 crores and played two seasons for Gujarat in 2016 and 2017.
He played for KKR for four seasons. By the end of the 2023 season, he played around 242 matches and amassed a total of 4516 runs with a strike rate of 129.72 with a high score of 97* runs. He also has 141 catches to his name and 36 stumpings.
He joined RCB for the second time for INR 5.5 Crores during the IPL 2022 season. He had a weak performance during the IPL 2023 with the bat after scoring 140 runs with an average of 11.
His IPL 2022 performance earned Karthik a berth in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia where he scored only 14 runs in three innings. India walked out of the tournament after suffering defeat in a semi-final match against England.
Despite getting ready to say farewell to cricket as a player, Karthik has already been deemed to have a second career. In 2021, Karthik simultaneously got into working as a pundit for the WTC final between India and New Zealand and at Hundred.
Now he has a well established as a broadcaster and currently doing commentary in the India-England tests. He was retained by the franchise before the IPL 2024 auction.
