Ahead of IPL 2022, KKR released Dinesh Karthi whereas RCB on the other hand roped him for INR 5.5 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction event.

Dinesh Karthik showed his worth by scoring 330 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of over 180. RCB under new captain Faf du Plessis reached IPL 2022 playoff and finished 3rd in the tournament.

Notably, RCB made their hat-trick playoff appearance, while RCB finished 4th in IPL 2020 and 2021 seasons.

Dinesh Karthik has been awarded Super Striker of the season for his impressive strike rate. It is worth mentioning that Dinesh Karthik is the only RCB player to be named in IPL 2022 Awards List.

Following his impressive IPL performance, Dinesh Karthik managed to return to the senior national team for the first time in 3 years. Dinesh Karthik has been included in the India T20I squad for the South Africa series.

“I heard Dinesh Karthik talking with the coach about how RCB and himself should go along with the preparation for the IPL. It showed the results and he evolved as a finisher and hopefully, he will perform well for India too,” Kaul said Cricket Mahamanch’ a show made to analyze IPL on Koo App.

Meanwhile, Siddarth Kaul believes that RCB will be able to build on their good run in IPL 2022 and give themselves a good chance to bag the trophy next year.

“We should enter the field with a positive attitude. We will definitely win the trophy in the coming season,” he said.

Kaul played a supporting role for the most part of the season. He managed just only one game but the senior pacer said it’s important that, as professionals, the players are ready to accept challenges.

“A bowler and a player always have to believe in themselves, that is the most important thing. We must learn to accept challenges, challenges make us better,” he added.

India vs South Africa 2022 T20I series will kick start on June 9 with the final match on June 19. The matches will be played across 5 different stadiums.

Notably, the 4th T20I match between India and South Africa will be played in Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Rajkot which recently hosts the Saurashtra Premier League 2022.
