The 35-year-old batter Dimuth Karunaratne scored his 35th Test half-century during the One-off Test against Afghanistan on a home tour.

On day 02 of a one-off test against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka resumed their innings by losing no wickets for 80 runs. Karunaratne scored 42 on day 01 and Nishan Madushka with 36 runs.
On this occasion, Dimuth completed his half-century while Madushka was caught at leg slip by Noor Ali Zadran on Naveed Zadran’s over.

Kusal Mendis was caught out on a deep square leg from a bouncer by seamer Nijat Masood. Dimuth scored 77 runs on 72 deliveries which includes 12 boundaries.
He was caught out by Ibrahim Zadran during the over of spin bowler Qais Ahmed. Afghanistan has bagged three important dismissals to contain the Sri Lankan side.
Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimai have joined forces and scored 150+ runs and helped the side to score 300+ total in the test.
Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bowl on the one-off Test. Afghanistan was all-out for 198 runs on the day 01. Rahmat scored 91 runs on 139 deliveries which includes 13 fours.
He missed his century when Prabath Jayasuriya dismissed him in the 46th over. Noor Ali Zadran was the second-highest scorer for Afghanistan with 31 runs.
This is the first match between these two teams as Afghanistan was recognized as the test-playing nation on the year 2018.
