Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sakshi Dhoni celebrated their 11th marriage anniversary on Sunday (July 4). Sakshi Singh Dhoni received a car as a gift on her wedding anniversary. Sharing an image of the car, she thanked the person who gifted her the car.

The latter revealed recently that Dhoni had gifted her a vintage Volkswagen Beetle on an occasion. The image that Sakshi shared on her Instagram Stories shows the car parked on a pathway. “Thank you for the anniversary gift!” wrote Sakshi in the photograph.
The duo tied the knot back in 2010 on June 4. Social media is abuzz with all sorts of tweets wishing the couple a happy life together. Amid those shares, a tweet by Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has captured people’s attention.

MS Dhoni and Sakshi got married on July 4, 2010, in Dehradun. The wedding was attended by Dhoni’s friends from the sports, politics, and film fraternity. It is to be noted that Sakshi was not a known face before her marriage to Dhoni.
How did MS Dhoni meet Sakshi after almost a decade?
Dhoni and Sakshi met after around 10 years in Kolkata. The meeting happened when Team India was staying in Taj Bengal, Kolkata.
Sakshi was a student of hotel management before marriage and she was interning with Taj Bengal, Kolkata, during Team India’s stay there. On her last day of internship, Sakshi’s manager Yudhajit Dutta introduced her to Dhoni, who instantly fell in love with her. Dhoni later asked Dutta for her number and texted her.

Dhoni sent several texts to Sakshi but she did not take them seriously. But Dhoni kept on messaging her and the two finally started dating in March 2008. Sakshi also attended Dhoni’s birthday bash in 2008.
