DC Target Players: After spending INR 43.75 Cr in the retentions, Delhi Capitals will be heading to the mega auction with a remaining purse value of INR 76.25 which will allow the franchise to build a strong team as they look to win the IPL title for the first time.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad via retention or the Right to Match (RTM) option.
The Delhi Capitals can utilise the Right to Match (RTM) twice and it potentially allows them to buy quality players at low cost during IPL 2025 mega auction.
With the team is gearing up for the event at Jeddah, listed here are some probabale target players of the team.

Rachin Ravindra
The New Zealand international Rachin Ravindra will be in demand because of his all-rounder skills, including batting and bowling. He is also well verse adapted to sub continent conditions and his skillset would bring in balance to the tam providing an extra batter or bowler.
During the 2023 ODI World Cup he scored 578 runs in 10 innings and has the ability to cope in the top order line up.
KL Rahul
The consistent middle order batter has scored over 4000 runs in the IPL, consistently averaging above 40 with a strong strike rate. Along with the stats, KL Rahul’s captaincy and wicketkeeping skills will make him a asset for any team buys him.
Nitish Rana
Making his debut in IPL 2016, Nitish Rana has played 107 matches to date in his career and has scored 2636 runs, with an average of 28.65. The left handed batsman and all-rounder has developed his off spin bowling skills and pick wickets.
During 2023 season, he amassed 413 runs in 14 matches and maintained a strike rate of 140.96. His participation in IPL 2024 season was limited to just two matches where he scored 42 runs at a strike rate of 123.53.
Aaron Hardie
One of the young cricketer, Aaron Hardie enjoys a successful campaign in the shortest format, thanks to his incredible all-round attributes. The youngster has been a viatl cog in Perth Scorchers setup, playing an instrumental role in their astounding success in the Australian T20 league.
Playing 54 matches in 1040 runs and picked 26 wickets with an batting average 30.53 and a strike rate of 133.47.
Aakash Madhwal
Akash Madhwal will be entering the mega auction pool after being released by Mumbai Indians franchise ahead of the auction. Madhwal is known for his ability to nail yorkers. During the IPL 2023 eliminator, Madhwal took a record breaking 5/5 against LSG in 3.3 overs.
He joined the Mumbai in 2022 as a replacement for SKY, and was give opportunity to bowl with the new ball with the new ball after pacer Jofra Archer got injured.
Ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, Delhi Capitals has backed four players Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Stubbs and Abhishek Porel on October 31.

The IPL governing council has confirmed that the mega auction will be held in November 24 and 25 at Jeddah. Despite the event being hosted overseas, IPL fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
